INDOOR CHAMPS - This Tuesday

This is a message for the girls who have been chosen to compete at the indoor champs in Brisbane this Tuesday night.

Bus Departs StHildas at 3:30pm from out the front of the Boarding House
Bus will return to StHildas hopefully by no later than 9pm
(It all depends on the event and if it is running on time).

What to wear;

On the bus - StHildas sports tracksuit. P.E gear and rowing hoodie if you have one.
When competing - Zoot suit, P.E Shorts, sneakers and socks (it might be chilly so long sleeve white shirt may be a good idea too)

What to bring - Water bottle, money or something for dinner (boarders will have dinner supplied)

This is a very exciting event and I'm sure all the girls will give it their all and do very well for StHildas Rowing.

*I think there should be something up on parent lounge that will need to filled out to give the girls permission to go.

Thanks

James

A huge well done to Scarlett, our new rower at StHildas, for taking out both the ergo and the scull trial. We still have a few more girls to trial so the rankings may change.

Also next week we have the indoor rowing champs which the top 5 ergo girls from each age group will compete. So congratulations to Scarlett, Laura Taylor, Laura Nicholls, Hannah and Tess from this age group. Well done Tess who is rowing in her first season.

FOOTY SOCKS

I say it every year when girls complain about their cold feet hurting on the gravel of the ramp, "Why don't you wear footy socks???".  My suggestion is that you go to Trade Secret, Big W, Target or wherever and buy a couple of pairs of the cheapest Navy footy socks you can find. You put them on and leave them on the whole session. You feet don't hurt on the gravel and you don't slip on the ramp or cut your feet in them and they stop you getting blisters on the back of your heals when you row. Thongs are not allowed to be worn as they are dangerous so...."Why don't you get some footy socks?"
